Screenshot2Text (screenshot2text.com) is a free, ad-supported image-to-text tool. Optical character recognition runs entirely in your browser. We do not upload your image or PDF for OCR, and we do not receive a copy of the file or the extracted text on our servers.

The first run may briefly fetch small recognition files (and, for PDFs, a page-rendering script) to your device from public CDNs so the work can happen locally. Those requests do not include your file. Later visits reuse the cached files.

This site may show advertising (including Google AdSense) and collect standard web logs or analytics cookies from those vendors. Ads are separate from OCR: the file you drop stays on your device.
